Me & Mike
| Mike & I lived in different times back then. Life was
simplier and happiness was easy to come by. We had no money but we always managed to have the things that were needed. We lived across the street from Long Island Sound in a little town called Milford, Ct. Our days consisted of playing kick the can, hide n seek,
jumping rope, playing jax, hop scotch, baseball, riding bikes, swimming, fishing, scuba diving, boating, playing pirates on Charles Island or anything else we could dream up. I
loved him with all my heart and trusted him with my life. I would have
done anything for him EXCEPT let him be banker when we played Monopoly!
I was a bit of a tom boy and that made me the perfect sister for Mike. We were always together doing boy stuff. Every now and then I could sneak a tea party in. Our family life was full of happy times. One of my first memories was when we moved across the street. We lived on a dead end road and the neighborhood men were helping with the piano. They got it to the middle of the road and set it down. Next thing I knew, my father was playing "Beer Barrel Polka" and the neighbors came pouring into the street! It was a special time and one of many memories I'll treasure.
